  • LPC Field Week & Festival Reminders

Posted by Kelly Burkholder on 5/8/2025 8:00:00 AM

With only four weeks to go until the end of the year, many classrooms will be celebrating special activities and events. Please stay in close communication with your child’s teacher and ask questions if you are unsure about anything.

Next week, Mr. Dunk will be facilitating our Field Day activities with help from some of our HHS and LIC students. Here are the special days and times for your child’s Field Day activities.

Special thanks to everyone who made a donation towards classroom and community baskets for our Fun Fest Basket Auction next week. Thursday morning, May 15, we will hold our PEP meeting at 9:05 followed by basket wrapping for any unwrapped basket donations. Friday, May 16, is our PTO Fun Festival. We typically plan in hopes the Festival is our largest fundraiser of the year but it can only be successful with your help. Thanks for considering to volunteer for an hour or two next Friday by signing up here:   Sign-up to be a volunteer

  • FIELD TRIP FUN

Posted by Ron Swantner on 5/7/2025 9:15:00 AM

Second grade had the opportunity to visit the Dutch Apple Dinner theater to watch The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley JR. Students were treated to a delicious lunch buffet before the show. After the show they got to meet the cast, ask them questions and get their picture taken. We are so grateful to our PTO for funding this field trip. We wouldn’t have had this opportunity otherwise.

  • Author Visit

Posted by Ron Swantner on 5/6/2025 8:00:00 AM

LPC was fortunate to have Mrs. Kim Meredith visit and share more information with us about the writing process. Mrs. Meredith is in the process of having her fourth children’s book published while also publishing two books for adults. Students got an inside look at her writing process before heading back to class to creatively write their own stories. Special thanks to the Hempfield Foundation for providing the financial means to allow our third graders to learn and benefit from this presentation and experience.

  • Important Water Quality Update for Landisville Families

Posted by Kelly Burkholder on 5/1/2025 3:00:00 PM

Earlier today, some families in the Landisville area may have received an alert from the Hempfield Water Authority regarding elevated nitrate levels in their water system.

Please know that the district has been informed that water in all buildings on the Landisville campus — including Hempfield High School, Landisville Middle School, Landisville Education Center, Landisville Intermediate Center, Landisville Primary Center, and the Administration Building — has been tested and is not affected by this issue. There are no concerns with nitrate levels in our schools’ water.

The Hempfield Water Authority is actively working to resolve the situation and will notify us if anything changes.
